Unlock Your Body, Release Your Strength & Find Your Inspiration!!

We have an exciting seminar on hand this weekend at The Training Studio.  The concept of Trigger Point Performance Therapy and Myofascial Compression Technique will change your life.  Here is a taste of what you will learn.

Awareness:  Self awareness is everything. Most people don’t understand that what you tolerate you accept, but it is a reality. Think about it. The more you sit in traffic, the more you get used to the traffic. Eventually you say, “this is normal for me, the traffic isn’t that bad, I barely notice it any longer.” Yet, there is a non-moving mass of cars surrounding you — this is called grid-lock. Loss of tissue tolerance and the art of aging is similar in nature. The physical difference is basically the same, you become “locked” and consider it “normal”. I really want you to think about this; what you tolerate, you accept.

Advise: Learn to understand that a healthy body is a healthy mind. We often concentrate on how the mind performs but we never concentrate on how the body feels. Self-awareness is everything. Also be aware of your urine color, I know it’s strange to say but at the end of the day this is one of the easiest ways to see if you are hydrated or not. Dehydration creates friction within the muscle due to the lack of lubrication. Think about the difference between beef jerky and a supple steak, the jerky is difficult to move and creates friction every time the tissue tries to move, a supple steak is just that supple, movement occurs efficiently due to the liquid within the tissue

Action: It’s time to get up and move, remember the body can tell the mind to do incredible things the mind can tell the body to do horrible things. You no longer have to tolerate what you accept. If you can brush your teeth every day you can take care of your body everyday. It’s plain and simple.  Massage has been proven to create pliability within the muscles of the body. This technique can be accomplished in a multitude of ways, the Trigger Point Performance tools allow you to do this in the most efficient effective manner. If you have to rely on someone to do something you may never get it done. Empower yourself by taking care of your self!

The net effect is loss of tissue tolerance. Once again what you tolerate you accept. If you are getting tired lethargic and the body feels stale it’s time to take action.

Integrating Trigger Point Performance Therapy into you daily training routine will make your workouts more effective and efficient while speeding recovery and preventing injury. From weekend warrrior to elite athlete, learn how to prepare your tissue to tolerate the demands placed upon it.

Two Important Announcements

We have two quick things to share with everyone.  First of all, those of you that plan to attend the 9am fundamentals session at river road may experience some delay getting to our facility.  The Anthem 5K takes place tomorrow morning at 8am and unfortunately the course goes right by our front door.  We are hoping that all 10,000 of the participants will be past us by 8:30-8:45am and the streets will be back open, but you never know.  Just be aware of potential traffic issues.  Those of you planning to attend the 9am session may also want to think about joining the 6am session instead, just in case.

Next topic, Hammer nutrition.  We have a Hammer order going out Monday afternoon.  If anyone is interested in ordering any specific products, please let us know ASAP.  Email us at getinshape@thetrainingstudio.com to send us your orders.

That’s it for now.  Thanks for listening.

Have a great day!
