KDF Mini & Full Marathon this weekend!!

Ok, it’s time to put all of your training to work.  We have been meeting as a group since January and have logged plenty of good quality training miles, listened to  (and hopefully absorbed) numerous training/nutrition tips and tidbits,  and even hopefully stretched a little along the way.  All of this hard work will be put to the test this Saturday.

We will try to meet as a group around 7:00-7:15am (race starts @ 7:30am) right by the starting line (corner of Rochester & 3rd street) for a group photo.  Keep an eye out for me on the course in several different locations.  Click HERE to view the new course map.  I am looking forward to seeing all of your smiling faces (and your awesome TS shirt) out on the course.  We plan to have a large presence close to the finish line as well.  It is hard to give you an exact location at this point because of the new finish line arrangement.  Our goal is to be somewhere close to the end of the runners corral, right where you will come out of the shoot.   Look for the TS flag flying high.

One last note.  Here are the specifics regarding late entries.

Unlike the past two years, there will be NO TRANSFER POLICY for runners who want to participate in
the races but are not registered. However, race organizers will offer 250 “Charity Bibs” for runners who
missed the registration deadline. The bibs – which allow entry into either the Marathon or miniMarathon –
cost $125, with $100 going toward the charity of the runner’s choice from the 17 Official KDF Race
Charities, and $25 to the Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation, the Derby Festival’s charitable arm. The
Charity Bibs will only be available at the Running Wild Race Expo, first-come, first-served, starting
on April 22nd at 11:00 am at the Kentucky International Convention Center – Hall 2C.

See you Saturday.  Have a good week of training.
