Please enjoy another client success story. This is a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with other members of The Training Studio. We plan to showcase success stories from all programs at TS. I know everyone gets tired of hearing me promoting and talking about TS over and over, so now its time to hear it from a different perspective. š
I have come up with a few questions that I feel will create a nice story for each individual featured. Enjoy.
Our next installment featuresĀ Bobby Bailey
What is your purpose/reason for working out?
There is a quote by Joan Welsh I am reminded of here, āA man’s health can be judged by which he takes two at a time–pillsĀ orĀ stairs.ā I would rather be in the latter category. Work and life can take a major toll on our physical and mental well-being. I find that maintaining a regime of fitness with a specific focus on distance running, provides stress relief, mental toughness and clarity.
What made you choose TS?
I chose TS because of the people! Not just the staff but all the people you meet there. I have not only grown in health and fitness through TS, but have also made many new friendships. There is a special bond of fraternity that comes from running 20 miles together in the blazing hot sun or the pouring rain. When I first joined I thought I was only going to be training for the KDF Mini. I never would have imagined I could or would ever run a marathon. It honestly seemed unattainable. Training Studio gave me the tools and confidence to get across the finish line over and over again!
What services do you utilize at TS?
Run/walk Group
What milestones, accomplishments or goals have you achieved since joining TS?
5 Marathons in 5 states and a whole bunch of half-marathons with many PRs along the way!
What do you like most about TS?
I love the camaraderie and the accountability that it creates. It is a lot easier to get up and run 15 miles in the rain when you know your buddies are going to be there slugging it out with you. I really appreciate the preparation and attention to detail that goes into making the group a success.s
How long have you been a member of TS?
5 years
What motivates you to continue working out?
I want to ensure I maintain a healthy lifestyle and keep surrounding myself with a community of people who feel likewise. I know that if I let it slip and let go of these good habits, they can be hard to get back. Further, I know that how I do on race day begins long before I cross the start line. A successful race finish starts on those coldĀ SaturdayĀ mornings and those sweltering weeknight runs.
