Congratulations to everyone that participated in various events over the last few weeks. I have heard several awesome stories about more personal records set once again. A large portion of our team competed in the St. Louis Rock-n-roll full and half marathon, some conquered the mighty Marine Corps marathon, others competed locally at the Big Hit half marathon, a few this past weekend to compete in the Monumental marathon in Indy, and two others even traveled to Nashville to complete a 50 miler. It is awesome to see all of your hard work pay off. I posted several photos on the The Training Studio facebook page. Click the link to check them out. And don’t forget to “like” us if you haven’t already. Also feel free to pass along any photos that you might have from various events attended.
Ok, enough celebrating, now it’s time to get back to business. Our goal for the remaining portion of our 2013 program is to help everyone keep a strong mileage base throughout the off season. This will help you transition into the 2014 program perfectly. We plan to resume our normal program this weekend and keep it going for the next 3 weeks. I am not going to post maps, it will be a nice surprise each week. Don’t forget that our new start time is 7:30am. We will continue to host a group run the first three weeks in December, but these will be basic group meet-ups without all of the bells and whistles. Here is our Saturday training schedule for the rest of the year.
11/9 – 8 miles
11/16 – 10 miles
11/23 – 9 miles
11/30 – Off for the Thanksgiving holiday (participate in a local Turkey Trot Thursday)
12/7 – 10 miles
12/14 – 8 miles (no arrows/mile markers, unofficial group run)
12/21 – 11 miles (no arrows/mile markers, unofficial group run)
We will contact everyone via email, facebook and newsletter with info regarding the 2014 program very soon.
Once again, I can’t stress enough the importance of recognizing our sponsors. Without these people, this program would not be possible. Here is a list with links for more information about each company.
