This Monday, May 29 bring the family out for an exciting day @waterfrontparklou for the Mayor’s Hike, Bike & Paddle event.

Beginning at 8 a.m. there will be plenty of fun, free fitness activities to enjoy with the family! As a *reminder* too, the studio will be closed on Monday for Memorial Day, so go out an enjoy an active and beautiful day in our city.

Exciting news -- the cycling group will start back

Exciting news -- the cycling group will start back this Saturday, May 20 at 7:30am at our downtown location.

We will host a relaxed pace ride that will take us over the walking bridge to New Albany. The ride is very flat and is 90% on dedicated walking/cycling trails. Come join the fun. We plan to post each week about a scheduled time/day for the cycling group to meet.

Recently we came across an article in the @nytimes on Kettlebells and we wanted to share some insight from the article.

"One reason for the popularity of kettlebells is their versatility. You can use them like any other weight for squatting, pressing or deadlifting. You can also get a cardiovascular workout and build explosive power with cleans (when the weight is lifted from the ground to the shoulders) or snatches (when it’s lifted from the ground to over the head)." - by Hilary Achauer (@nytimes April 2023).

Today we are highlighting Dawn Caster. Dawn is running in Saturday's @kyderbyfestival Marathon!

When asked about running with @thetrainingstudio she shares the following: “The Training Studio has been instrumental in my return to running. It is a very supportive community and meets people where they are. When I first joined the running group (4 years ago) I was a little rusty. I started with the walk/run group with the goal of completing the mini marathon that first year. My goals have evolved as I have become a stronger runner. Last year I finished my first marathon since 2004. This year I have a goal of breaking 4 hours (and maybe even getting a BQ).”

It’s here - the @kyderbyfestival mini and marathon will kick off on Saturday morning for their 50th year 🎉!

Our spring TS running club completed their final run of the season this weekend and several members are competing on Saturday.

We will shine a light throughout the week on some of our runners ready for their 🏅.

Thanks to all of our runners this season and we hope to see everyone on Saturday - whether you’re running or just to cheer on fellow teammates.
