The strongest day you will ever have won’t be in the gym, it will be the day you become strong enough to live without anyone else’s validation.
Outside validation always leaves you vulnerable to outside manipulation. People intimidated by who you are will do anything to keep you a lesser version of yourself. People who want to control you will often criticize you to get you to do what is best for them and seldom ever what is best for you.
There are always people you will trust who will give you the truth and advice, but there will never be freedom in life until you understand the only person you need validation from in life to be you, is you, and no one else.
This will be the day that how you look should only matter to you, and this will be the day you really don’t care what anyone else thinks. And this will be the day you finally understand that your body belongs to you and who you are is your choice.
This is also the day the little voice in your head finally says, “We aren’t perfect, but we are pretty f$%*king cool and that is enough.” And you are at peace with your looks, what you want to do in life, how you want to do it, who you want to do it with and even the clothes you wear each day.
Not needing any validation from others is the only true freedom. Do you believe in yourself? Are you happy with just being you? Are you at peace with the choices in your life? Only you can answer these questions and only your validation of yourself is what matters.
It is okay to be you. It is okay to not give a damn what others think. It is okay to understand that the very validations you seek from others may be the words that are now controlling who you are and preventing you from becoming the best person you could be.
If you like you and are at peace being you, then what the rest of the world thinks just doesn’t matter.
