Another nice turnout last week for the longest run of the year thus far. It was great to see so many familiar faces out on the road. Let’s keep the trend going and have another great showing this week at the Rodes City Run. Take some time to study the City Run race website for important information regarding packet pick-up, course info, parking, restrooms, etc.. For those of you that haven’t competed in this race before, the start and finish are not in the same spot. The start is downtown on Broadway (close to 3rd street) and the finish line is down by waterfront park (right around the corner from the Anthem 5K start). We would like to gather everyone at the McDonalds on 2nd and Broadway around 7:30am (race starts at 8:05am) My recommendation would be to park down somewhere by the waterfront area (Slugger field parking lot is a good area) close to the finish line and then walk or jog up to our meeting spot at McDonalds. Just remember to give yourself plenty of time to get there. Our plan is to stage the Training Studio tent at the corner of Witherspoon and Preston (next to Paul Hornung’s statue). Look for us when you make that last left turn to the finish line. We would love to have everyone come back to the tent to cheer everyone else on. Oh, one more thing, don’t forget to wear your favorite Training Studio shirt to show your support. I will be out on the course looking for shirts and big smiles. See everyone Saturday!
Don’t forget, you can still pick up your free pair of Smartwool socks at Ken Combs Running Store. They have a master list of everyone in the group. Stop by ASAP to pick them up.
Once again, I can’t stress enough the importance of recognizing our sponsors. Without these people, this program would not be possible. Here is a list with links for more information about each company.

Don’t forget to study up. Our sponsors have put together what we believe to be the most comprehensive Online Running Manual available. All of your running/walking questions can be answered in this manual. Use the link above to start enjoying this valuable resource.
One more thing, don’t forget to register for the Triple Crown and Mini marathon as soon as you can. The mini marathon in particular will sell out very soon. The longer you wait, the more expensive it gets. See the links below for registration info.
