Nice race prep last week with a difficult 11 mile course through Cherokee Park. Just in case some of you still have questions about race prep or nutrition on the run, check out our Online Running Manual (pages 39-51 for nutrition & 65-67 for race prep)
Let’s keep the trend going and have another great showing this week at the Papa John’s 10 miler. Take some time to study the race website for important information regarding packet pick-up, course info, parking, restrooms, etc.. The start is behind Papa John’s stadium on 3rd street just on the other side of Central Avenue. We would like to gather everyone at the front of the U of L baseball stadium at the corner of 3rd and Central around 7:30am (race starts at 8:05am). We are trying to organize a group photo for 7:45am. Please try to join us for the photo. My recommendation would be to park down somewhere by 3rd or 4th street (south of Central Avenue) for easy in and easy out. Due to the massive congestion around the finish area, there really isn’t a convenient place for us to stage a reunion area for post race pictures. Instead, several of us will stag ourselves in the stands close to the finish line. Keep an eye out for the TS shirts. They stand out pretty easy. Oh, one more thing, don’t forget to wear your favorite Training Studio shirt to show your support. I will be out on the course looking for shirts and big smiles. See everyone Saturday!
Don’t forget, you can still pick up your free pair of Smartwool socks at Ken Combs Running Store. They have a master list of everyone in the group. Stop by ASAP to pick them up.
Once again, I can’t stress enough the importance of recognizing our sponsors. Without these people, this program would not be possible. Here is a list with links for more information about each company.

Don’t forget to study up. Our sponsors have put together what we believe to be the most comprehensive Online Running Manual available. All of your running/walking questions can be answered in this manual. Use the link above to start enjoying this valuable resource.
One more thing, don’t forget to register for the Triple Crown and Mini marathon as soon as you can. The mini marathon in particular will sell out very soon. The longer you wait, the more expensive it gets. See the links below for registration info.
