We got a nice present from “Mother Nature” last weekend with the rain stopping at just the right time and the temperature staying close to perfect. Enjoy another down week this Saturday, but remember to push the pace a little. Try to simulate your actual race pace scenario. By the way, don’t forget to spend some time reading our extensive Running Manual (see link below). We have a lot of great stuff in there that can really help you become a better runner and athlete in general.
One more thing, I need to ask a favor of you guys. We (The Training Studio) are sponsoring the local fall marathon called Louisville’s Dream Factory Marathon. It is held on Sunday, October 20th. We need to round up at least 30 volunteers to help with waters stops, etc.. We have all run several races over the years and now it is time to give back. Please find the time to volunteer with us Sunday morning (October 20th). Email me if you are interested in helping out. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
This week the marathon group is running 15 miles with the mini marathon group doing 8. Here is the route for this week.
We are getting very close to reaching our goal of 30 participants in St. Louis. Here is the list I have thus far. If you see someone I have left off, please let me know. Click HERE to email me.
Mini Marathon: (9 people) Kim K., Scott B., Jean M., Claudia F., Siri, Karen R., Heather A., Jay F., Cindy G.

Once again, I can’t stress enough the importance of recognizing our sponsors. Without these people, this program would not be possible. Here is a list with links for more information about each company.
