Congrats to those that finished the grueling 23 mile course last weekend. As if the hills weren’t enough, I heard the humidity was just as bad. Just think about how easy that marathon will be as a result of your hard work. This week will be a nice break from the long, long mileage. Welcome to your official marathon taper.
I hate to keep beating a dead horse, but don’t forget about the volunteers we need for the marathon coming up. C’mon everybody, we need your help. We (The Training Studio) are sponsoring the local fall marathon called Louisville’s Dream Factory Marathon. It is held on Sunday, October 20th. We need to round up at least 30 volunteers to help with waters stops, etc.. We have all run several races over the years and now it is time to give back. Please find the time to volunteer with us Sunday morning (October 20th). Email me if you are interested in helping out. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
This week the marathon group is running 12 miles with the mini marathon group doing 12. Here is the route for this week.
We are getting very close to reaching our goal of 30 participants in St. Louis. (25 so far) Here is the list I have thus far. If you see someone I have left off, please let me know. Click HERE to email me.
Mini Marathon: (7 people) Kim K., Scott B., Jean M., Claudia F., Heather A., Jay F., Cindy G.

Once again, I can’t stress enough the importance of recognizing our sponsors. Without these people, this program would not be possible. Here is a list with links for more information about each company.
Don’t forget to study up. Our sponsors have put together what we believe to be the most comprehensive Online Running Manual available. All of your running/walking questions can be answered in this manual. Use the link above to start enjoying this valuable resource.
