I hope everyone enjoyed that beautiful 8 mile route we had last weekend with the picture perfect running weather. Every once and a while we get lucky with some perfect temperatures and low humidity to make these long runs actually enjoyable. Now is the time to prepare yourself for the other alternatives, (hot, nasty and humid days). This would be a great time to read up on proper nutrition and hydration techniques on our online running manual (see link below). Everyone should be taking some type of nutrition with them on all of these long runs. Read the manual for some suggestions and ideas of what is good and bad.
At last count, I have 18 people confirmed for registration into either the half or full marathon in St. Louis this fall. We still need 12 more to make this costume thing a reality. Send me a note to dale@thetrainingstudio.com if you decide to join us or to confirm that I have you on the list.
This week we have a glorious 9 mile route planned for you. Click HERE to view the route.
Don’t forget, we are still meeting at 7:30am until the beginning of July.
Once again, I can’t stress enough the importance of recognizing our sponsors. Without these people, this program would not be possible. Here is a list with links for more information about each company.
