It looks like everyone is starting to settle into their paces. It usually only takes 2-3 weeks to find a comfortable pace group. Please do not hesitate to find myself (Dale) or Stacey for help finding a pace group. We are excited to announce that Smart Wool has joined us as the official sock of the 2013 Training Studio Run/Walk Group. They have agreed to provide each participant with a free pair of Smart Wool socks. Special thanks to Larry from Ken Combs for making this happen.
I want to take a minute to acknowledge Rob, Andrea and Brad from KORT Partners in Physical Therapy for taking the time to open their doors on a Sunday and educate us. Attendance did not reach our expectations, but we are confident those that did attend were happy with the information provided. Mark you calendars for our next seminar scheduled for Sunday, 2/24 at Ken Combs Running Store. Larry Holt will teach us about proper shoe fit and technical clothing for runners.
The mileage for this week is 7 miles for the Advanced and Intermediate schedules and 4 miles for the Beginners. I am posting a 7 mile route that is an out and back course. We will place a turnaround sign out on the course (at the 2 mile mark) for those using the beginner schedule. Click HERE to view a map of the course.
Once again, I can’t stress enough the importance of recognizing our sponsors. Without these people, this program would not be possible. Here is a list with links for more information about each company.
Don’t forget to study up. Our sponsors have put together what we believe to be the most comprehensive Online Running Manual available. All of your running/walking questions can be answered in this manual. Use the link above to start enjoying this valuable resource.
One more thing, don’t forget to register for the Triple Crown and Mini marathon as soon as you can. The mini marathon in particular will sell out very soon. The longer you wait, the more expensive it gets. See the links below for registration info.
